Daughter of a con artists, Ellie Watt has come back to her home town in the attempts of starting a new life. An honest life. When she goes looking for employment at a coffee shop, she comes face-to-face to Camden, a long lost childhood friend and the first thing that comes to her mind is to con him. When her plan backfires, her freedom is on the line, but she's willing to pay the price to love and to be loved again even if it means that she's taking the highway down a dangerous road.
It wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. Although the plot and characters were well developed, I didn't feel an intense attachment to any of the characters in Sins & Needles. Maybe it's because of Ellie's constant dishonesty that makes me feel very uncomfortable with her. In addition to that, I do think that Camden and Ellie's relation was going a little too fast for my taste. However, I really loved the loads of action and intrigue present in this book. I kept wondering if Ellie was going to get caught and sent in prison. I think that the sacrifice that Ellie made in the end was really sweet and thoughtful though I was surprised that she fell into the trap that Javier made. Being a daughter of con artists, I expected her to be a little smarter than that.
