December just received the news of the death of her father from the army. Moments later, she found her boyfriend cheating on her. Her mother won't even go out of bed, her sister is running around from guy to guy and her brother is too young to care for himself. Her life is falling apart right before her eyes...until Josh came along. He loves her and cares for her but he has a little secret of his own-- he's in the army too. Just like December's father.
This book was so incredibly instalovy that I can't even. December breaks up with Riley and then *BAM*. She's now with Josh. I don't see what's so special about her nor about him! I just don't get it! Throughout the book December keeps repeating how hot and how big of a player he is. Then why the fuck do you love him? Also, I've never seen anyone as desperate as this girl. Every time she's with Josh she like "Omg why doesn't he want to screw me? He has rejected my body three times. WHY DOESN'T HE WANT TO FUCK ME???" Geez, stop being so needy and maybe he'll want to.
I'm giving the two stars for last 10% of the book. Really sweet ending.
I would recommend this book to those that liked The Perks of Being a Wallflower except with a lot more romance in it. Overall it was a fine book but it just doesn't stand out enough for me.
