Holland's a man who can sense dead people. He can talk to them too.
When his daughter goes missing and is found to be in a book (yes, you read that right), he finds himself pitted in a deadly game against a God and an psychopathic Mage that want to destroy the world.
Now, he has save his daughter and the world...
After reading this book, I couldn't help myself but wonder if Saunders is an extremely creative person or was just writing this book while being high. But it's the result that counts right? I found myself saying WTF more than several times, but at least, I can say that it's a very original book.
I just think that Masters of Bone and Blood started off really really slowly. At about 25% in the book, I was bored out of my mind and the mind fuckery was just starting. I still finished the book but I just wasn't into it anymore.
Other than that, the character are very likable and are very well developed especially Holland and Carter. Thumbs up to the lovely cover too.
Overall, it was fine. But it could've been better.
