OK, let's just start off by saying that the next time that I ever read anything that sounds like " Omg, I have purple eyes. I am special." or of the sort, then I'm going to woop someone's ass.
Summary: Jack randomly appears at Avery's school with her picture in his backpack. She finds the picture and thinks to herself that this dude is a creep, but since he's pretty hot, well...he's now a hot creep? When he asks her out for prom, she declines at first, but eventually agrees to go with him. When they get there together, Stellan, appears with a knife and they fight for her because Stellan doesn't really understand what's so special about Avery(me neither), but knows that if Jack was looking for her, then she must be special. They both kidnap her to Paris. We later learn that the world that we're living in is a lie and that it's ruled by the 12 richest families in the world and that there's this weird prophecy that says that the girl with purple eyes will have the marry the One to take down the Order. After that, it's just tons of drama.
I know that the back cover sounds amazing and *fireworks appear here*, but trust me, it wasn't THAT epic. It was just really far-fetched and seemed quite unrealistic for those who know a bit of history. (I tried to let my mind follow the book, but my conscience kept saying " Oh really. WTF.")
What really bothered me was probably the beginning where Avery goes completely crazy over Jack because he's really hot and charming and has a british accent.
I just rolled my eyes the whole time. After that, there was the Prada incident that left me really skeptical that this could really happen even in a book. Like how exactly did the Order figure out who she was, where she was...It's a little shaky if you ask me.
Overall, it was fine, but nothing really left a mark on me. I just didn't feel it guys. Sorry.
