Well, I guess we can say that I liked it a lot :'3
Watch out. Some crazy ass fangirling will appear soon.
Bound by a curse, the Caliph of Korasan, Khalid, has to marry 100 wives, one per day and kill each of them by dawn. When Shahrazad appears at his door and volunteers, Khalid is intrigued by this mysterious young lady that oozes hatred in her regard. At night, she tells him stories like his mother used to and ends them all with cliffhangers so he would have no choice but to let her live if he wants to know the next part of the story. Physically and mentally worn out by war but still a child at heart, he lets her live. Slowly but surely, they fall in love and he doesn't want to kill her while the curse is starting to have an effect on the city. What will he do? Would you choose love or your people? Or even... Both?
I LOVED THIS SO MUCH OH MAH GOSH. :3
Author managed very well to make the world building seem Middle East-ish by adding all those Arabic words. I was hooked up by the first page and I couldn't let go. Guys, I litterally spent four hours in Chapters reading this book on the ground and ended up buying it when the lady told me they were closing. Shazi is the motherfckin boss. She's so brave and bold and yes, even though she didn't really succeed at her job coz she was supposed to kill him, I DONT EVEN CARE. I SHIP THEM. And Khalid OMG the scene with the rose...<3 *swoon* book boyfriends yo. I also ship them because their relationship is always threatened. Nothing is ever safe with the Caliph. Ouhh dangerous. I like that.
Also, there was just that random ass Tariq that no one cared about. I kind of speed read his parts, but meh STILL LOVED THE BOOK.
So yeah, all I'm saying is that if you have the chance, go read this now. No pressure.
