Forgive me for those who aren't fans but...CRAZY FANGIRL ALERT
This review may contains spoilers.( I try to minimize but sometimes I gotta k?)
Liked it but damn that fist half was filled with Chaol and Aelin arguing :(. It left me like SARAH GODDAMN IT, YOU ARE SINKING MY SHIP. I was really frustrated and I just felt like slapping both of them with a glove.
Second half was a lot better. They decided to grow up and there was a more considerable amount of action here than the first part. I was restlessly on the edge of my seat living through the relentless plot. Gosh it was amazing. I felt like a ball of nerves ready to explode. Everything was so dangerous and made me so stressed out. Breathe in, breathe out Camly, calm down, it's just a book. NO, YOU DONT UNDERSTAND, YOU DONT KNOW WHAT IT FEELS LIKE. I read books to relax, not to have a heart attack, but damn I loved every single moment of it.
I admit that I didn't really like Rowan at first because of the way that he treated her back in Heir of Fire but I think I might like him a tad more now:'3 he protects her, he fights for her and the way they talk to each other with their minds is just really sweet. What I also like about Rowan is that Celaena can finally be herself in front of him, she can let go of all her worries even if it's just for a little while but ain't that the real definition of love?
Still love Celaena with her usual badassery and her compassion towards Manon. That's exactly how a true queen is supposed to be.
I won't go any further than that.
The ending? Exceptional. You will feel very satisfied.
